OUR STORY

Husband & wife team Garry & Julie Saunders took over the reigns at The Veggie in September 2010.

Garry being the chef.

My catering career started at college in Barnsley,followed by my first job at The Majestic in Harrogate.
Having gained much experience in many kitchens in Yorkshire including The Devonshire Arms Hotel in Bolton Abbey (where I met my wife Julie) until finally I became Head Chef at Holdsworth House Hotel in Halifax.
Along came marriage & 2 children as well the demands on my time trying to juggle them both,so whilst dreaming of an easier way of life we fell upon The Veggie.

So why The Veggie?

Quite simply because it felt right!
